Fabric & Finance Group

This group plays a pivotal role in the parish, ensuring, in conjunction with the Parish Priest that: the finances of the church are properly managed, appropriate accounting records are kept, the Annual Financial Return is prepared and the Gift Aid scheme is promoted and administered. They may also give advice on energy use and insurance of the church and house.

In addition it organises counting teams who are responsible for counting, recording and banking weekly collections on a rota basis.

Each year they will set an annual budget for maintenance and improvements, making sure that adequate funding is in place.

Maintenance Issues

A small team meet with the Parish Priest on a regular basis to plan, liaise with contractors and cost and monitor a rolling programme of repair and maintenance issues.  This team also oversees Health and Safety, Risk Assessment, Annual Utility Testing and compliance with legal and insurance requirements.
