Thursday 17th  SENIOR CITZENS’ CHRISTMAS DINNER at the Glenbervie Golf Club. 1.30pm for 2pm.  If you wish to attend this, please add your name to the list on the Notice Board.
Saturday 19th   St Francis Xavier’s Cluster [St Francis Xavier’s, Falkirk, St Mary of the Angels, Camelon, St Anthony’s, Polmont and Our Lady of Lourdes and St Bernadette’s, Larbert] will be holding a joint DAY OF RECOLLECTION at St Francis Xavier’s from 8am – 6.30pm with the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation [Confession] throughout the day. What better way to start the YEAR OF MERCY !
Sunday 20th  The Children’s Liturgy Team remind families that there won’t be a practice on Sunday 20th, the day of the Nativity Play itself and that the Christmas party for P4's and under (including pre-schoolers) starts at 1200 (finishing at 1330) in the Rotary Hall.
A Prayer Book for the Year of  Mercy   draws on the riches of Pope Francis’ recent letter Misericordiae Vultus and invites us  to quiet, prayerful reflection on the main themes and highlights  of the year ahead. A few copies have been obtained and are available from the porch.
“True to the End “ is a book by one of our parishioners, Joe Quinlivan on the austere living conditions in rural Ireland and experiences and effects of emigration from Ireland during the middle of the last century. A fascinating memoir including insights into the construction industry. Copies of Joe’s book will be available after Mass over the next few Sundays, price £12 per copy.
